I would have guessed the opposite. sIII wrong / norm correct. but hey.

Okay, rewired the normal channel. The sIII input was wired correctly. Don't understand how I accomplished that one
Also opened up the tube sockets. They're working better now.
See what happens.
Yea, ya got me :? :? :? Don't know why the reverse

Now I've got no sound.
When I dime the sIII channel on both the master and volume I'm getting a popping constant intervals. Oscillating?

Wonder if I should just install new lengths of shielded cable?
Also, Either before or after I got no hum at all on all jacks when touching it with my finger or metal

doubt it. do you get a noise when you tap the input pins on V1 with a small screwdriver? (be careful)

I got the "small noise" when I used the meter probe against them, so yes

Screw it, I'm going to go to the original build and schemo, I'll change everything(well, not everything, lol). This will play today

Are the voltages OK? Before you change too much [too many variables and you did have sound] lets start with that. See if they're in range. Then we move on to the signal path. Starting with getting the Normal channel to work. One thing at a time.

I suggest a ground continuity check.

Getting a 'pop' is a good thing. You're not that far away.

As I'm redoing everything, I found a major problem.
One of the turrets moves. Now as long as I solder from end to end it'll be fine, but I'm pissed, so I just might build a new one.I don't know.

jac,
The "Normal" channel was working before. Then, you made it look like the TMB channel. Now neither work. Sounds like you've miswired both, now. :? This is a very common mistake. I've seen it in probably half of the builds where the plastic "Marshall style" jacks are used. Look very closely at them. My guess is that they have you confused a bit. I took one before installing it and plugged a short cord into it , then broke out the ohm meter and "figgered" it out. Then when I looked at the diagram it made perfect sense. Either that or I guessed in the 50% that were right. Flip a coin.

The way I'm going I'll have redone this 3 times.

So everyone knows, since alot of newbies are now on this site, this has nothing to do with Trinity. I've had medical problems that have resulted in severe brain memory loss. Because of this well.... I screwed up alot of everything.
Do not want any blame to go to anyone but myself.
This is why this poor amp and me are having our problems. Sucks
Peace,
Later,
Jac

Thanks, Leemo, I'm just going to rebuild, I'm at the screw it stage again and trying to get out of it. Taking a break right now and back I go. Whatever.
Thanks for the reply

I just looked at mine and I wired both sets like the Normal channel with both facing the same direction.

forgot how much "fun" the jacks are. 1st one done (had to build a rangemaster in the stead) on to the 2nd. amp will be done sooner or later
The jacks were definitely screwed up.
