Well, it's mostly finished. The corners aren't screwed on, and the feet aren't screwed on. Cabinet baffle is master grade koa from volcanoguitarworks.com and the faceplate is an ebony fretboard thinned to .040" (too fragile---I would use something else next time).

Love that Koa!! So, how does it sound. Any amp pics to share, or other building information?

Well, the overdrive is great. I can really nail this sound with a little delay: http://youtube.com/watch?v=4KWCKaSJbrQ

People talk about the cleans though, and they don't do it for me. I was hoping for nice blackface type cleans, though more refined, and was surprised by the mid-emphasis in what the amp does.

I have some chassis shots. I'll upload some tomorrow. I bought the transformers with upgraded iron. Heyboer made them to D'Lite spec with M6 iron. The attack is REALLY defined, and I'm not sure if the M6 is why. It's a very fast sound.

Stew, I didn't know this was a Trainwreck style cab. I hope it isn't too close. I wanted it to be original.

Hi James. The original TWs were in all exposed wood cabs so you're original there. They had that nice accent filler piece above the controls that made me think of TWs. Kewl cab though. Should be proud!

Inneresting. I was planing a 6L6 version so maybe that is cleaner. I assume this was a 6V6 but I'd like some loud cleans too.

James, f you used the default values the amp is voiced for more jazzy style cleans, you are going to have to tweak a bit if you are after a blackface sound but I am sure the amp will do it.

Stephen, this is 6L6. More defined, you know? Legin, thanks for the tip. Would you just sub in the values from an old blackface circuit piece for piece?

I would probably ask on the Amp Garage site in the Dumble area. I have not tweaked mine as I was after the Dumble Jazz sound in the first place.

 Do you mean one for you personally ie A Cocumble. Or one for the Trinity line ie a Trinumble?

As a prototype to see how hard it is to build and how good it sounds. We'll see after that.

Like your names tho!
