I'm thinking of beefing up my 18 watt plexi to a 36 watter.
Anybody have the 36 watt version? Is there a significant volume difference? Headroom difference? Or just your .02

3 db max vol difference when you double the power. Not too noticeable, bit possibly some 'wee bit' extra headroom.

I notice when I play my 36'er through a 4-12 cab it rattles the walls and ceiling panels and everything in my basement quite a bit more than the 18 watter does. It also has a razzier tone and you can feel the sound pressure wave against your chest cavity much better.

Nice 8) Kinda like my JTM45 I guess. A 412 will add a few dbs as well.

ive noticed larger amps dont neccasarily add volume as much as bigness... by that i mean what rickdog is talking about - room shaking ability. I say do it. At the very least you have a fun project. :)
