Hey, I recently started working on an sIII build and have a quick question. I was going to originally build a different amp and bought a Hammond 270FX power transformer for that amp. Since it's maximum tap is 275 volts, I'm guessing it won't work for this build. It looks like the lowest one I could get is in the 272 model range. (I am looking at the antique electronics supply site). Anyone have any tips on what would be the best one to get? Also, I have a 1650F output transformer which, at 25 W rating, seems like it would be able to handle this project. Am I missing anything? Thanks for the help!

You should try to get as close to these specs as possible: viewtopic.php?t=604

PT= 290-0-290 , OT 8K , but the design of the OT makes a big sonic difference.
