Hey guys
Over the past year and a half ive been reading, planning and getting into amp building. Late 2007 I built a ax84 P1 and it was a peice of cake.. So i decided to try my luck at an 18 watter

I spent about 2 days wiring this guy up using a brownnote layout (Most of the parts were from turretboads dot com, and I used Trinity transformers)

If you notice that I missed anything (minus the input jacks, im aware they arent wired up yet!) or have any suggestions I'd be happy to hear from you.. I have about 2 days until the tubes come in the mail to test this sucker out!

So far I've learnt that chassis drilling is the worst part of building (Especially with no vice and only a hand drill)--you can see where I goofed up quite a few times, but i'm okay with that. I'm learning!

Well, it's a very neat build. Not familiar with the amp but I see all the wires are well twisted. I gues the 68K grid stopper doesnt go directly on V1?

Well, you can take a look at the layout I borrowed from!

I like the look of those lite builds, no extra fuss, seems like it would be a cool secondary amp, just plug her in and let her rip!

It would seem that way. A full blown 18 watter has only 1 more tube a handful of parts and pots but the lite is straightforward.

Ive always loved single channel amps, but since this was only my second amp I thought i'd keep things nice and simple

When I was building it it almost semmed a little "too easy" though.. I'm in the mood for something new now.. maybe a v6! heheh
