I'm going with a ToneTubby Alnico. Planning to put everything together this Saturday. I'm excited!

I'll post more later,

Hey guys,

mojotone.com has some cream chicken-head knobs that look about the same color as the tolex on my cab:

Image

How do you think these would look against the black TC-15 faceplate in my new cabinet? Too much cream color?? The creamier, the better, I'm thinkin'...

Well, these things take longer than I think they will some times...

I decided to mount the Ch. 2 input jacks differently and re-route some of my wiring to better accommodate the chassis mounting hardware. Didn't actually get the chassis mounted today. Pics have been delayed 'till a later date TBA.

Assembly Complete!

Tone Tubby 12" alnico sounds perfect with this amp:

Here's how she looks with white knobs:
Cream knobs on the way. Will post another pic when they arrive.

Chassis is held in place by two bolts through each side:
They hold the chassis in place when the back is removed. 8)

Amp/cab/speaker combo sounds fantastic.

I have not done anything extra to isolate the JJ EF-806 tube. No serious microphonic problems here. Yeah, if I turn Ch. 1 all the way up and tap on the cab, I can hear it come through the speakers pretty loud. But I notice nothing but great tone when I play Ch. 1 at volumes up to the threshold of pain (and beyond!) (this little baby cries LOUD!!!!).

Sound clips to follow at a future date....

Thanks Trinity! Nice job!!!!

Looks sweet. Nice installation! I'd like to put some of your pics up in the gallery.

If it's too loud, well, we can fix than now can't we! [VRM]

Looking forward to those clips.

That is an amazing looking amp. The cab is simply incredible. I kind of laughed at the Tone Tubby sticker. I never knew it was Brown Soun.
