Wow! Just played a two nighter doing Beatles tunes. First night was early Beatles (up to and including Revolver) and the second night is post Revolver. My amp sounds great. This band gets surprisingly loud and I had the amp around 4 all night (11 o'clock) Don't know if it's because I'm playing with a seperate cab but my Deluxe doesn't get flabby, and I get lots of headroom. Still havn't played this amp past 1 o'clock. One thing though, my Power transformer gets way too hot. I must have done something wrong. I took voltages a while ago so I don't remember specifics but V2 (12ax7) was measuring high. Everything else measured up okay. Love the amp, but it's been a few gigs now and that PT is making me nervous. If you are wondering how hot is hot I can barely touch the thing after a gig.

Thanks in advance
Pat

Has anybody had any experience with PT overheating? Any pointers?

Pat,

Seems to be a bit too hot. Did you build two or just one? Can you compare the two?

 No I haven't built my second yet. My six month old little girl won't let me  That and I have to order a VRM from you. I'll try to get to it soon. I haven't picked up a soldering iron in 7 months
