Here are the clips & Brent's commentary.

"Roll Down" is a wacky little instrumental tune written by a 19-year-old guy I worked with from Belleville named Eric Spilsbury. He's a crazy talented kid and played both the guitar and drums on this. He was kind enough to let us post it. The guitars have a stereo/mono thing going on. When they're in stereo, it's my 50th Anniversary Strat on the left side, and my Ash Tele on the right. When the guitar is mono it's the strat alone. Both parts were recorded through the TC 15 - it was a while ago, so I don't remember any of the settings, but I believe it was the Orange 2x12 cab with V30's. I LOVE the tones on this.

Clips:
Generously performed by my good friend Rob Waite from Belleville. His only request was that he be invited to the "Triwatt" listening party at my studio!

Mic was a single SM57, to Vintech (Neve-style) pre, to Apogee Rosetta 200 A/D, to the computer. No EQ, compression, nada, zilch, nothing - in or out of the box.

Ch.1 Clean was as follows - no MV, cut 3:00, vol 7:30, contour pos 2 (from left), munch/hi on the back, Lo input on the front. Used my new Trinity "Matchless" 2x12 with TTA's except on the Fender Cyclone/SD59 clip recorded both the Trinity cab and the Orange cab with V30's for comparison. Used the neck pickup on all the guitars and didn't move a knob on the amp when we switched guitars (and cab!)... Amazing how a different guitar can make the same settings sound so different! Sorta like different cabs!!!

Good stuff! All the clean sounds were great. I can't think of a better clean sound with any amp I've heard.

I really like that channel 2 dirty with the Ric. Awesome!

Thanks J! I'm starting to sound like a bit of broken record, but I think the TC-15 is genius all around. But yeah, especially clean...

Just got that Ric (ordered it 2 years ago!!) - it's awesome. So much tone in there and sounds great through almost anything. The other (surprise) ace is that Dano - unbelievable tone and it cost like $300!

More clips to come. I've been meaning to do a bunch for a while now, but couldn't put together the time. But my buddy Rob loves playing through that amp so much, that he's game to get together for an hour or so fairly often... and I'll set up the mic!! He's coming today again as a matter of fact!

Great clips but for the clean clips, I prefer the TT cab to the Orange. I found it muddy.

Definitely different flavours... the Trinity cab is so much more detailed while the Orange is significantly deeper sounding...

Did some more TC clips today with Eric, the guy that wrote/played the crazy blues tune above. We went for a looser vibe - just pulled up a tone, and he just let 'er rip. And I think we got some very different/cool tones. Anyway, sounded awesome - I'll get the clips to Stephen in the next few days.

I started to hear my Trinity cab open up a bit today - those TTA's have been sounding great, but a bit stiff to me thus far - today it sounded to me as though they were starting to break in (a lot of play hours in the last couple of weeks!!)! Anyway, got a little insight into how special Stephen's cab really is... So, I was thinking even though Trinity's focus is on the amps, it would be cool to showcase the cab for a change. So, I'm thinking of doing a series of clips where I record each one of my 20 or so amps through the Trinity cab - it could serve as a reference for what a Mesa sounds like through the TTA's, what a Soldano sounds like through the TTA's, what an Orange sounds like through the TTA's, etc, etc.

Any interest in this?
