A Black Russian Terrrier we got as 7 week old, 8 pound puppy. She's a doll from a litter of 13. We've called her "Mika"

If all the work is not getting done, you know why!

Gibson gives a nose lick (thats a dog's thumbs up) and a big hello!

How big will Mika get?

Does she understand English or just Russian? ;)

Congrats!!!! HNDD (happy new dog day!)

Wow, 100 pounder... My TEak was 85 and that was a big dog :)

Gibson is 60 lbs now and thats where I want him to stay - but he is 60 pounds of muscle. Pulls like a 100 lb shephard!

I will bring Gibsion down to Toronto some time, maybe next year - I think dogs are allowed at the hotel we usually stay at.

You will have to find a good dog park to visit!

Cute puppy :D :D :D CONGRATS

New puppy day is always good

Nice to see you guys like "nedium sized" dogs :P :P :P

I'm hopefullly about 2 years away from getting two to replace my much missed boys. I had a pair of Irish wolfhounds, full brothers from litters a year apart, 145 and 185 pounds of pure joy :!: :!:

And 2 were easier than 1  Five minuttes of them playing with each other and they were more worn out than 2 hours of walking

(And DON"T tell my cat I said that) :rol :rol

There are some good off-leash parks in Toronto, but generally, TO is not as dog freindly s some cities.

She looks like a Maine?!?

They'll get along just fine :D :D

Not a Maine . A fluffy 'brain dead' tabby. We have another cat, a Ginger one called "Ceasar" who rules the roost here.

Cleo & Mika are friendly, Ceasar , not so much yet!

The off-leash park at High Park just down the street from Stephen is pretty good - we've taken Audrey (Golden Doodle) there a bunch of times...

Well, at least Gibson is very friendly with all dogs - my old dog Teak was pretty bossy and liked to pick fights. Gibson will play with anythging, even cats!

Looking forward to meeting your new member of the family Stephen! :)

AJC

PS does he sleep with you? It took Lesley a while to get used to Gibson in the bed but now she likes him to be there too :) Vizsla's are very affectionate and hate to be apart form their owners...

Mika does not sleep with us. At a potential size of 100+ lbs - I dont think so! Besides, she moves around during the night to find the cool spots.

Dog days of summer indeed.

Did some research, pretty rare animal
Good breed specs, she should be very 8) 8) 8)

Good luck with her, see they have a pretty good lifespan for a large breed too :D :D

When we had the boys, they slept in the bedroom in the winter, kept the temperature in the room up a good 5 degrees F compared to the rest of the house, made it nice and cozy :P :P :P

When I was single, Teak slept on my bed. but she would push me off nearly every 2nd night.

But if I tried to move her she'd growl at me :)

Gibson just curls up into a ball like a cat with hes head tucked over his back legs. He falls asleep about 10pm and doesnt get up untill I do for work. He doesnt move all night so its not a problem. But if I want him to sleep on his dog bed he will - he's easy going :)

I don't know how you guys do it????
My son and I are currently looking for a "bird"
Sorry, we need less responsibility. Of course the bird has to have certain qualities, lol
We want a "cockatiel that "speaks" and loves to "snuggle" and have a great neck "scritch"on there neck. He would sit on our shoulder and snuggle into our hair and "clean" our hair, very cool!We use to have 1 and were so sad when he died. Been looking ever since. Well, my "animal" story.
It's amazing how attached 1 can become toward an animal
"Teak sounds like the great dog I would like. Laid back.
"Mika" Is an incredibly beautiful dog. Good luck :D :D :D :D :D
I saw pics of jcny's pups :D Very "big"!!!   If they wanted to move you while standing, they absolutely could!!!!      Very beautiful 8) 8) 8) 8)

Oh, and Gibson looksn like he could sniff out a rodent at 100 paces 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)
