So, I got my kit from Stephen on Wednesday, spent most of Wed. and today building it. Finished about 4 PM today, fired it up and it works first try. Wires are everywhere as you can see from the pictures, but it still sounds really, really good and is quiet.




Highly recommended as a first build, I had very few problems, my only issue was solved here on the forum (Thanks!)

I had some 16uF/475V sprague atom caps that I crammed in and I used sprague 25uF/25V's as well.

You'll also notice that the section of shielded wire is not there (wasn't in the kit, but Stephen has already sent me a piece) I'll put that in when I get it.

Looks great! I built mine a couple of months ago and like most here had a lot of fun building it and have now become a tube amp nut. I believe form your comments your hooked as well.

I noticed you have an extra cap on V2 that I don't what is that for?

Its the .02 cap from the board. It just went from pin 1 to pin 7 anyway so i ran it across the socket and took the jumper that it normally attaches to off the board. I've seen a couple of old Deluxes that have been wired up that way. Seems to work fine.
