I have had a couple of requests for me to build a Trinity Tweed as a head so they can use existing speaker cabs, has anyone done this and if so are there plans or pictures available?

I believe BBQ and Mojo both have head cabs available for the 5E3 that will accept the standard "combo" configured chassis. The tubes are laying down in this arrangement, facing straight backwards but still within the cabinet. I'm not sure what they do for a back on these cabs, if anything.
The only down side that I can see is that a lot of 5E3 OT's typically only have an 8 ohm tap. It's nice in a head configuration to have the 4 and 16 ohm options available to accommodate various external speaker cabs. There may be thermal issues as well, with the tubes positioned this way.

We have built a couple of these cabinets. Amp installed with tubes vertical. Some of the other companies cabs are huge, you can down size quite a bit for a more compact amp.

Coco, when you say the tubes mounted vertically does that mean using the combo chasis and monting it so the controls and inputs are on the top like in a combo?
