First of all I'd like to thank both Chris and Stephen for all their help. I had Chris go over my chassis to check the MOSFET and a couple of other issues and now, with a new MOSFET and a few other changes, I have my Tramp finished and installed into my cabinet.
I modified the mounting holes in my Tramp to fit into a 5E3 Tweed Deluxe cabinet that I had, so I am running it through a 12" 30 watt, 8 ohm BBQ Alnico 12A125A.

How's she sound?

It sounds really nice. I'm still getting use to all the different combinations of settings with volume controls, Tude switch and Fat switch, and VRM, but it's a really nice little amp. Great bedroom amp.

See you got the 6L6GC in already. How do you like it compared to the 6V6?

Thanks Chris. I tried the 6V6 for a while when I got it put together but wanted to try out the 6L6 just to see what difference it would make. I still have the 6L6 in there and decided to put the back cover on the cabinet about 15 minutes ago. I really like this amp with the 6L6 installed. It's louder so there is more tweaking possible with the VRM/Master Volume/Volume Controls to get different sound from it. I really like the Fat tone - not sure about the Tude just yet. I'm playing a Gibson ES335 with Classic 57 humbuckers through itat the moment.

Hi Casey4's, yes this was my first build. It was a great experience for me as I started it at an amp workshop so there was in person support for questions and troubles. I was one that had troubles with mine but through contact with Stephen and Chris here I was able to isolate the problems and get things fixed up. It took me longer than some and less time than others but it was a great experience and I would recommend it. The drawings are pretty easy to follow and the book gives you a step by step approach with some theory injected into the pages as well as safety procedures.
