Were We Brave?

Hi guys,

How early should the breakup be on the TC-15 EF86 channel? I had always assumed everything was fine with mine, but I've never really been able to put it higher than 9'o clock as it's plenty dirty already, whereas the 12AX7 channel is cozy at 2-3'o clock (gain boost off). Is it supposed to be this hot, or could something be wrong?
