connect a shorting jumper between the plate of a preamp tube and chassis ground. This jumper will drain any high voltage to ground through the 50k to 100K 2W plate resistor on the tube. To do this successfully, you will need to know which pins are the plate pins.

I know what the chassis ground is but what is the plate between the preamplifier tube mean? I don't know what the plate pins are. 18watt Plexi.

Yes I have the builders guide. I have read it but it is all Greek to me. I just need to see a picture of the jumper wire then I can move forward to my next newbie question.

Pin 1 or 6 on V1.
Or to always have them drain automatically attach a 220K 2W resistor from the first terminal on the cap can to ground.
