Well I just finished building my Tweed Deluxe, after making sure all voltages were good I took it for a quick spin in the living room. Now I need to finish the cabinet! One thing I noticed though, is when I crank the volume past 10 on the unused channel, I hear some hiss. Is this normal? I know I should expect some noise/hiss because of the carbon comp resistors and whatnot but this seems to be only present when the volume pot are almost dimed.

Perfectly normal. Tubes arent perfect and neither are carbon comp resistors.

Good to know! When I tested the amp to make sure everything was working I was actually expecting some hum since it was sitting on my coffee table with my laptop not far away, and surprisingly enough it was almost dead quiet even with my Strat! Tomorrow I'm getting started on the cabinet and will probably wire in the VRM circuit.
