I am reviewing the schematic and layout to get a through unserstanding prior ro buying the TC15 kit. The schematic says that all resistors are Carbon Film except where noted and the kit decsription page says the kit comes with Carbon Comp resistors. The layout has a couple subs of Metal/Carbon Film noted on it and then the Metal Oxides in the Power Supply. There aree also different resistor image representations in the layout inferring differ types of resistors. The tonal qualities of the amp can be changed by using Carbon Comp instead of Flm or Metal and I would like to understand what is what on the layout .

I am just wondering :
1) what really comes with the kit
2) what represents what on the Layout .

Thanks ..

Kit comes with carbon comp, carbon film, metal film, metal oxide and cermet!

Good news is each of these resistors are unique looking. The colour and size of the resistor represented by the layout shows you what type to use.

The kit instructions probabbly cover this but.....
Carbon comp - small and brown
Carbon film - small and tan
Metal filter - small and blue
Metal Oxide - large and grey
Cermet - largest and white
