I notice there is a spare small hole at the back of my Tramp Chassis and I was thinking if it was worthwhile to add a toggle switch there to allow the Negative Feedback to be switched in or out for the Tweed mode.

Would this be a worthwhile little mod to do?

Stephen, just wondering have you tried this when the amp was being designed, I'm assuming it may have already been tried and not sounded too good since it seems like an easy/convenient addition to get an additional/raunchier version of the Tweed mode.

As you hinted at the sound will be a bit rawer and loose, not as clean. Without the NFB the Tweed mode would be approaching the sound of the Tude mode more. Having the two modes sound similar would not be ideal hence the idea of adding NFB to the design to clean up the tone of the Tweed mode.

As posted, it will get a little more raunchy and approach the 'tude mode. Go ahead & try it, but that was not what we were after. We did want clean Tweeds.
