Hi everyone, i'm a newbie with a new Tramp that Stephen built for me (I'm not a builder yet). My question is what are your favourite Tramp settings and the tones you're trying to achieve? Between the volume, MV and power scaling (to say nothing of fat and 'tude modes), i'm finding it a bit overwhelming.

Personally I'm looking for great country/blues Tweed settings for home use, but i'd love to hear how you set it up regardless of use.

At the moment for single coils I'm using:

Tube: 6V6
Vol: 7-8
MV: maxed
Power scaling: around 5
(Tweed and thin settings)

At these settings i can play without waking up the kids two floors up. :D

As for low volume, hi gain, try this: turn the power to about 6, the master at 3, pull the Fat and 'tude and drive more/less with the volume control.

From the right side...turn it up, the highest voltage setting = most headroom.
MV atw up allows preamp vol to control amp drive.
Tone...wherever you like.
From the left side start low, both knobs pushed in, raise volume as needed.
Tude mode, expect increase in gain and change in eq., readjust the left volume and tone
Fat to Thin is a bass rolloff.
6L6 is a popular country tube.
