My Lorantz 30W Greenback clone speaker has arrived and I have been playing it tonight. First impressions are that they are very close to the money with the vintage greenback sound, sounds great with the sIII ripping through it, real rock and roll combination. The manufacturers suggest that the unit works better in a sealed cabinet and my plan is to build a 2 X 12 with a detachable back panel so I can get the best of both worlds. I am going to try it in combination with the Sammi 12" and make it three way switchable:

Lorantz 8 Ohm
Sammi 8 Ohm
Lorantz + Sammi 16 Ohm

Or should I go 4 Ohm with the combination?

Stick with the same ohmage configuration for each speaker. What was the price?

Now, this will be a cool test. Cant wait to hear your results.
