Ordered a WGS ET-65 today, from www.diffusion-audio.com. This dealer is in Canada, so I won't worry with customs fees...

Diffusion Audio seems like a good company to deal with. We'veused them as well.

Awesome! You are going to have a blast building the Tramp and even more fun cranking her up on tude mode.

You got to admit that the ET65 looks pretty cool with that white basket.

Only the kit is remaining (can't wait to start the assembly!).
To Stephen : what is the actual lag time before shipping a tramp kit, or if I ordered it on 13/12, when should I expect it ?

Happy new year to all...

Typically ship within a few days if all parts are in stock. We were short on Transformers but have arrived and all back orders were shipped.
For people who also ordered cabinets, there is a build time involved.
Email me directly if you have a concern.

The kit just arrived (ok, some days ago) !!!
Checked the parts against the BOM, and now I'm reading the assemby guide; it contains important infos on how to approach the build, and in which order things should be done...

Finally some time to start the build :

Some mechanical assembly, and heathers wiring :

Details of the octal socket, note that my chassis is a recent version which use a IEC receptacle instead of a fixed cord. The fuse holder moved over the power ground teminal strip, so I will complete this strip before installing the fuse holder and wiring the power transformer primary.

LED wiring :

More parts added, and transformers mounted :

I know, the input socket is upside down, for now it is there only to help align the faceplate :

Now it's start looking like something :

Can't wait to continue...

Some progress made...

Adding resistors to the tube sockets, and wiring the output transformer :

The speaker impedance selection switch :

And the switch to select between 5k and 2.5k output transformer primary. Not sure that I will try a EL34 soon, but the tap exist, so I want the possibility to use it. As someone reported some arcing between switch solder lugs, I tried a piece of shrink wrap on the common lugs (both side of the switch are used, to divide the current between them).

The cab also arrived some days ago. I told Stephen that I'm not in a hurry, so he can take its time; If you order your kit and a cab together like me, yours can be delivered faster, according to the pending orders.

It looks great all black...
