This was taken off the floor using a Zoom H2 mike and then saved as a WAV file. It was edited using Audacity, where clipped out the part I wanted and saved it as mp3. This is Travis Whiteman using Les Paul

What do you think of the clip and the recording quality?

Sounds great!

You know it just dawned on me... the H2 recorder can be connected to your PC via a USB cable and act as an input device. If you are using a laptop with Audacity, you can record directly into Audacity if you connect set the H2 as your input device. That could save you some time by eliminating the need to transfer the files!

Yes, I just don't want to drag out my laptop to do it. What would be cool is an iPhone remote control of such a device so I dont need to bother the musician during recording.

Have you considered an audio interface for your iPhone? Something like this... http://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/irigprehd/

Then you could mic the cab more "traditional style" using whatever mic you want from as far away as your mic cable is long.
