The wattage should be at least 25W. For the cleans, you do need higher power speaker IMO.

At least 25W. If using KT66s, the speakers should be at least 50W rated.

I'm putting in Fane Acension F90s (16 Ohm) for mine. They were bought used but new, wrong ohms, at a fair price. Gonna be cool

If/when I finally build my Triwatt, I have to get the Eminence Crescendo clones that Hi-Tone amps uses.

I've been using a 12" BBQ FC12. It's modeled after a Fane Crescendo and sounds amazing. It sounds huge with a bold bottom end, mid are nice and a high end that cuts like a knife without being too bright and painful. I mounted it in a 1x12 open back Marshall 18 watt style cab. It's really portable too. I've been using BBQ for a while. Great people to work with and great customer service.

What does BBQ mean? I Googles and BBQ makes an FC12. But I have no clue about BBQ

BBQ= W-e-b-e-r, due to Ted BBQ dispute about the use of the W e b e r name on various forums. BBQ thought they were being defamed by certain postings, I believe. Anytime you use the name W e b e r, it comes out on the forum as BBQ. Which is why I used spaces

Now you know where to find the Fane Crescendo clone (FC12) :)

Apparently they do https://www.tedweber.com/policy/. Section 11 of policies. I know when all is said and done, it costs about $50 USD (via PayPal) to get an amp from Trinity shipped to US. In the Great White North, I don't know what is involved in getting something from US. You might call W e b e r and find out. Maybe someone on the forum who has may be able to chime in. Sorry, that's all I got.

If anybody out there's interested, I'm a fan of W.eber speakers and posted a shootout of 12 of their models on YouTube (https://youtu.be/wLodDYBkKq4)--among other amps, it features my Triwatt with 3 different settings, and also includes the FC12 (Fane Crescendo clone) that folks have written about here. It has time stamps so you can compare how the same Triwatt clips sound on all 12 different speakers.

I run my Triwatt with a 2x12--the other speaker in there is the CV123, another high wattage model--I paired the FC12 with pretty much everything else I have, and it was tough to find a speaker that complemented it properly (for starters, most were either too loud or too soft to blend properly with the FC12). The CV123 has a much tighter/lighter low end than the FC12, and is similarly mid-focused, but more in the high range. They sound great together, with the resulting combination being particularly 3-dimensional, and making up for the FC12's tendency toward a darker sound (I do quite like it by itself though--it's got a really unique juicy mid character that none of the other speakers I've tried possess). I'm still interested in trying a Thames!

Thanks for the video!
Really sweet sounding.

I am using the Reeves Vintage Purple. Great speaker! Have you tried that one before?

I am also considering what speaker to put in a 1x12 cabinet. For the Triwatt would a alnico or ceramic magnet be a better choice? I tend to like alnico with my jtm45 , but the Triwatt is a different animal. I have a jbl mr12 guitar cab that normally sounds lackluster, but sounded pretty good with the Triwatt.

I have tried out a lot of speakers, including alnico ones but I generally prefer ceramics with the Triwatt.

The best ones are vintage fanes or clones of those. Celestion don't really do it justice in my opinion.

The best speakers that I know of is the Rawson Sparfield Starfinder. It is a one on one copy of the Fane Crescendo. Lovely speaker and a perfect match for the Triwatt. Bit expensive though.

The maximum power must be greater than 50W to be able to clean Pokemon Showdown and you must follow the instructions correctly.

I really don't know IMO how much speaker power is the most reasonable!
