I asked the same. You will be better of getting the Trinity transformers because they have 8k and 5k impedance taps to make the crunch (Muchless) and munch (Voxy sound) functions work properly. Other transformers can work but you won't get as much out of the amp as with using the dedicated design transformers.

I'd like to have some Westlabs for a different build

Sorry to revive an old thread. But by doing so it’s information and response is in one place when searched.

I bought a set of transformers from Dave West about twenty years ago, as yet still unused. I don’t remember if I bought a 15 watt or 30 watt set. Does anyone here know the part numbers of the transformers for each set? I can’t find my choke but have the power and output.

A Connection diagram would be nice, there is one on this forum for a West power transformer but no part numbers and no diagram for the output.

We got ours from TDS Transformers. They actually made them for Matchless. TDS15 & TDS30

We have this West Labs info:

They should be compatible.

The 15W powers West was selling here looks identical to many TDS made for Matchless in the past. These are different dimensions than the ones we had. You can tell these are not TDS because of the stickers on them.
