Why wait? We're 18 watt firendly here!! :D

Between here and s2's new site, there's at least 30% of the regular posters available. Go ahead and get going. If you need a schematic or layout I'm sure we've all got a copy somewhere.

Great opportunity to build an sIII TMB, all the schematics and layouts are here, I can recommend it as a solid and cruisy build.

Not only that...but converting a sIII to a TMB and vice versa (save for the extra tmb input) is a breeze...

Yet another straggler checking in. Hey guys!

You know, I still think that MOO MOO missed an opportunity on the BBQ - he should've sold his product to him. Sorry it all shook out this way for sure... everybody loses now.

But here's the big question: why the extreme changes?

BBQ lacks any real grounds for a lawsuit... Gabi could get any lawyer to send a letter to him telling him to shut his trap. It's as easy to do as BBq did; that's why he did it.

It's an old trick, but no reason to run scared.

Mickey

This is speculation on my part but Gabi has been dealing with crap like this for 3-4 years. I don't think it's runnin scared as much as it is he just doesn't want the Bu!!$h!t anymore. He's probably very busy with his amp business. I don't know if he is still working a day job but if he is....he's probably spreading himself pretty thin either way! Plus removing all the commercial references negates any merit a lawsuit could possibly have had. Again that is my speculation. At this point I have no more info than has already been said!

I'm sure there is enough help here. What do you need to get going?

It's okay, steve...I was half-joking. Richie and I are collaborating and he's essentially acting as my mentor. I'm sure I'll have other questions along the way so will definitely post if I do. Still waiting on my chassis/mounting hardware from Nik but am starting to get all the board components in order so I can start on the turretboard over the weekend.

Now THAT is something that I would pay money to see. I also think it is a bit short sited to make a piece of your customer base suffer cuz you have a beef with 1 or 2 of them. That could impact the long term growth curves no?

If you have the schematic & layout, I can post them for others to use. Email me

With no commercialism, how are vendors like Swanson, Reason, Ceri@tone, supposed to get the word out about the services they provide to the community?

GDS, Swanson, DST, Gabi, & Reason will have to use referrals, word of mouth, forums, internet etc. Similar to what others do. They are not unknown on other forums.

Not that I don't care about the other guys....but I really feel for Gabi and Graydon, who were for lack of a beter word, screwed by BBQ, for essentially being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

The more life goes on without 18watt.com online, the more I hate BBQ for doing what he did...and I will never buy from him again...

After a week, I'm beginning to fear that there is dissention or unrest in the ownership of that board, like they can't all agree on what to do. The physical tasks involved just shouldn't take so long, and probably could have been done in the background without even taking the board offline.

And I agree with B&V.

Yea, what there is is back...sure seems "sterile", though.
Anyway, thanks to coco for giving us a home and hospitality, and a chance to vent and rant. I've been a member here for some time, guess i'll have to participate more.
