Hello,

I built my plexi a few years back. Just did the cascade mod recently. I really like the additional gain, however the hiss level seems quite high. Is this normal? Will changing the R40 100k resistor value that's in schematic help? If not is there anything else that could be done?

Thanks

Hello, I think you can try changing the value of the R40 100k resistor could potentially help reduce the hiss level. Experimenting with different resistor values can alter the gain structure of the circuit and potentially decrease the noise. You can try replacing R40 with a higher value resistor (e.g., 220k, 330k) and see if it improves the situation. Keep in mind that modifying resistor values can have other tonal implications, so it's essential to find the right balance.
