Hi everyone

Well, these clips sound very much like the amp through my headphones, but mid-rangey through my powerbook speakers. Mic'd with an ADK TC about two feet high, slightly to the right, and three feet in front of the amp. None are too spiffy.

The guitar is my tele, most likely on the neck or middle position at different times. Bass was set around 11 o'clock, treble around 2 o'clock, volume at 1 o'clock, master very low because hey, my ears are sensative :)

Funky Clip: I was noodling around with Neon, by John Mayer, and stumbled on this fun little thing: http://www.languagepool.net/recordings/Funky%20Clip.mp3 (it's pretty muddy)

D Clip: Just some things I like in D. My delay is oscilating in the background, so it sounds spacey: http://www.languagepool.net/recordings/D%20Clip.mp3

God of Hope: God of Hope by Charlie Hall. This is one of my favorite songs (and it's on iTunes. Hint): http://www.languagepool.net/recordings/ ... 20Hope.mp3

Nice James,
Love how your getting that wonderful acoustic sound ..
Need to bump it up a notch or two. Hear some distortion.

Yeah, I'm really happy with my Sommer Spirit cables from lavacable.com. They're so transparent. The amp is set right on the threshold. When I dig in more, it really breaks up. I get tentative when I'm record and tend to play lightly.

Haha, no need to be sorry. What kind of cable do you use? I was blown away when I plugged my monster and planet waves direct in. I always thought people sonnetting about cables was a bit of hogwash. Thankfully my Spirit's are silent. The noise you hear is cabinet rattle and a weird clipping somewhere in the amp :(

Ah! I forgot the clip. This is just a fun thing I like to play with in G.

Some clipping for you. Now keep in mind, all I did was switch to the bridge pickup and dig in a bit more with my pick.

These are all from my tele, btw. VanZandt bridge, Fralin Blues Special neck.

Wow, it is clipping. I'd still like to hear some distortion. I'm more used to that.
As soon as I start getting back into building cables' I'll send you one to test out. I've only built 3 and I have 500' bulk. They're very good, including the jacks. Dead Silent. Fun, Fun :D
