You may have gotten lucky :D

Check the bottom of each bottle for a symbol in the middle.

There's a symbol there, what's it supposed to be?

Darn I can't find the site right now, but each European manufacturer had a different symbol, and you can tell who made the tube. Somewhere online there's a guide to those symbols.

did the search, The Webcor are mullards :D :D :D :D .
Gets more interesting.
Where are you jcny?

I'm still unpacking from my move. I'm getting closer to finishing. For the last 5 to 7 years I've stored all my tubes in cigar boxes and really haven't looked at them. But did label them. ya know 12's in this box, 6L6's in this one.

Well.... I opened up the 12AX7 box, probably 25 tubes in there (one broke
 ) They are all mullard except for 2 rca, incredible, just incredible. I'm in awe.
I have 12 more tube boxes to go through. Most boxes if I remember only have like 6 - 12 tubes per box, I just still can't believe what I carelessly through in when I didn't know.
Have tpo label all and list.

Jac, that's great!!
I'm talking to Blaren about some of his longplate mullards for a really good price :D

Sounds like you may have enough tubes to stuff a lot of those builds you're working on :D :D

Sorry Jac, I thought I had sent you something

I found it very difficult to tell the Mullard from the Raytheon blackplate :?

But that's a good thing because I like tha Raytheon!

I had thought that my ears may not be sensitive enough to tell a difference, but looking at the tubeworld site, they have a listing of the "best sounding" tubes they have and it goes something liks Mullard longplate, Phillips, Raytheon blackplate then other Mullards and Telefunkens.

I guess that they should be very close from that listing with very subtle differences.

So I'm going to try some Mullard longplates and see. Besides, I'll need more tubes for the coming winter builds

:D

lbet & I put a Mullard into a certain, special TMB going to Houston, TX, and it made a big difference. Yes, it shipped with the Mullard in it and yes it got recorded but I never heard the clips.
