Anyone ever listen to Porcupine Tree....Steve Wilson and his BadCats...awesome sound
Anyone have a schematic of their HotCat 30R (or any others), or one that I can borrow to reverse engineer so that I can plagiarize and sell as my own design like everyone else seems to be doing...?
My evil kids and I are going to see them w/ Robt Fripp at the Wiltern LA....

There is a post over at 18watt.com that posted a couple BadCat schematics.

I have some partial schematics of the Hot Cat. I played one at the guitfiddle show here a few weeks ago and didn't really like it that much. I thought it sounded like someone took a Ford F150 and added monster truck tires to it without changing anything else...

OTOH, Brad Paisley is who got me interested in Matchless amps to begin with and I sound nothing like him when I play mine. H3ll, I don't even like country music, but that guy can make me drool!

Brad's one of two reasons I got into country. Him and Keith Urban...another great picker (but he holds back alittle more).

Interesting though...I thought Brad used Z's...I know Urban used matchless until he had a fallout with some of the guys at Matchless and went over to Bad Cat...

But Brad, for a while now, has been a Z guy...and before that, he used a vintage AC30....

I meant to say Keith Urban.

What happen with Urban and matchless?
Urban being an aussie seems very down to earth and very Australian.
Despite the fact he sings with a southern drawl.
Prior to his popularity in U.S. he was kinda known as country guitar shredder here for years in Australia.

I've no idea.

He was using Matchless for a while...and then all of a sudden he had a bad cat back line...he actually has what seems to be a bogner in there as well now.

But 'a falling out' is all I've heard as the reason why he jumped ship.

Funny thing...if you look at live shots and live video of him with the bad cats...you'll see one of his Matchless heads up there....but the matchless name plate is covered with a hand written "For Sale" sign.
