How about the inside gut shots and schemo's.
Very nice looking build. Always interested in submini's.
Thanks,
Jac

This is the only other photo I have of it. No gut shots. Its based on the superlite TMB. I just changed any component values that would pertain to the plate voltages and power tube cathode. I call it the sublite.

Nice amp 'airmech50', submini's are cool 8)

Here's what I use for practice:
A 5W ax84 High Octane, no tone stack, CUT only. Some tweaks.

http://home.online.no/~eber-ha/TubeAMP/amp_build2/

Notice the big metal plate to screen the preamp from the power section,
it completely eliminated all feedback oscillations. Well I learned some
valuable lessons from building this high gain practice amp. It nails
the Van Halen sound pretty good, lower the gain a bit and Led Zep
sound with a Les Paul with P90 pickup's is not bad either.

I used a Philips B5X94A radio from 1959-1960

Here's some pictures of the radio, before i turned it into an amp:

I would love a nice practice amp!

I have wanted a champ style amp for a while - it's for certain my next build... im not sure which one i would be interested in exactly. I've never heard the TC-15; a 5w one might be cool... butr certainly not as classic... i'd still need a champ style amp 8)

edit - heres a thread on sewatt where everyone debate the best champ...

http://www.sewatt.com/node/15400

looks like the 5F2-A might be the sound we want

Look over the 5E1 too. Interesting variant on the tone stack and choke added.

But if you wanted a single ended deluxe 5E3, the 5F2A might be the ticket.

The 5F2-A is a Princeton BTW. A Champ with a Deluxe tone control. If I was building one, that's what I'd build first.

martinw, what happened to your 3-3 pictures? I'm into that one as well.
