Hey guys,

I recently put together my first lighting, i ordered from Ceri@tone, but i am currently having a few problems. First off i didn't run a wire from R23 and R24 back to V1 so my voltages were way out, i fixed that and now I'm getting readings like:
V0: 367
V1: 229
V2: 337
V3: 281
V4: 347

Im running off 240V, any obvious reason why i'm out this far? Did i trash one of the resistors upon my first fire up? Thanks heaps

Which pin are you using for those readings? Are those your plates? pin 1 or 6?

I think it would be best to measure right at the tube pin. Measure pins 1 & 6 of the 12ax7's for DC, 4 & 9 for AC. I can't remember the EL84's off the top of my head.

Measure your B+ for DC, starting at the cap furthest to the right, where the B+ is coming into the + side of the cap.

If you need more instruction than that, don't hesitate to ask. I had a hard time figuring it out when I started.

Thanks heaps for your help, I'll measure the tubes soon. All my other readings are the B+ from the caps. V0 being from the rectifier, V1 being from the first cap, V2 the second cap, V3 the third and V4 the last. Any relation between V1 and V3 being both out but heaps, the rest seem close enough.

They actually seem fine to me. There was a spectrum if I remember correctly. It seemed like 360-380 was good on the first B+ cap.

The amp sounds fine to me so far, i haven't ran it real hard but the V! voltage is out by almost 100v so i still think I've done something wrong, as soon as i get time i will get the rest of the voltages to make it easier to diagnose the problem. Thanks Again

Your voltage isn't off. Check the high voltage layout here:

Don't worry, you're in good shape.

You know, you're right. Sorry about that. Do you have a pic of your filter board?

Thanks coco!

By the looks of that I'm not doing to bad on my caps, are the reference voltages on the schematic measured with tubes in? or only the rectifier?
