I absolutely love the Deluxe. I have done recording with it. Mostly in the context of a song. So, guitar is not always featured. Listen to Oversized Shoes [www.bustedpeach.com]. This is an example of the deluxe. All electric was done using this and a tele with harmonic designs pickups. I played the part on this groups tunes so I chose this amp for this tune.

Just getting around the BB

Let me just say, this is an amp I absolutely love. The Trinity Deluxe in these tunes has a BBQ speaker in it.

Here is a bio on the two groups presented.

Busted Peach is an acoustic duo comprised of Jonah Geil-Neufeld (on acoustic guitar and vocals) and Harley Meyer (on conga, doumbek, cajón, and various percussion). Their music has the flow and emotion of most singer-songwriter outfits, accompanied by percussive harmonies from a variety of cultures. Their debut album, Brown Paper Bag, was released in May of 2007.

The tune Oversized Shoes was part of an EP we made was done in the Winter of the Peach's High School Senior Year. I played the electric to round the tune out. I used a Tele with Harmonic designs pickups. The amp was mic'd using a Neumann Gefell condensor mic thru a Geoff Daking analog console. The electric was tracked to digital work station. (I am a lover of all things analog(tape machines), but speed of me getting this down was of the essence. The deluxe performed beautifully for the leads as well as all other electric rhythm.

The Days
The other group that has been posted is another young college age band "The Days". Five guys in the band. The band meshes a great combo of instruments: saxes, guitars, keys, banjo to get really a nice variety of sounds. They also have the luxury of having three fine songwriters.

Big Star features a Neil Young type of rhythm guitar that has plenty of meaty grit. The other electric on tune went thru a vintage AC 30. As you can hear for yourself, the classic sound of the Trinity Deluxe stands together nicely with the Vintage Vox. The Deluxe was mic'd with a Gefell condensor mic (UMT-70) -> Daking Console(Class A - Trident A range)

The other two tunes byThe Days used Pedal steel. The pedal steel player brought an ultra clean amp (not what I wanted). So I dug into the handy little Deluxe to get the little bit of overdrive I needed. The amp was mic'd with a Beyer M160 ribbon, with a Royer stereo ribbon on the room. On One way track, the pedal steel blends nicely with the saxophones.

Most of the basic tracks including the Deluxe on Big Star went to analog tape. Thanks for listening. http://www.myspace.com/thebanddays
