Hi all,

First I would like to thank Steve for this forum, just in time for my Lightning build, and inviting me to join  . I have a combo and head versions of Steve’s gold anodized 18-watt chassis and have been very happy with them, so now that I’m ready to build a Lightning I think I’ll go with one of his black anodized chassis. I do have a question about the Lightning chassis, what transformers are designed to be used with it, and will S2’s transformers work in it?

Thanks,

Eddie

erl,

The chassis are sized for the laydown Matchless transformers.

s2, you are working on building a Lightning set. I think the laydown Power Tranny (PT) for the 18, is also sized perfectly for the Lightning including a 3A 5V rectifier tap. :) Can you update us here on your progress of the Output Transformer (OT). I believe it's a 4K stand-up model.

Yes. The PT is the same size as the 18 Watt PT and it does include a 3.25A rectifier tap. The OT is in stand-up form and is also the same size as the 18 Watt OT.

These trannies will fit Ceri@tone's #2 chassis perfectly.
