Camera batteries are recharging, so no pictures right now.

First off, a tip o' the cap to Stephen. He braved a nasty winter storm to meet me last Tuesday at an electronics shop to hand deliver the kit. He's a first-class gentleman and it's not surprising he gets his props when it comes to customer service.

By way of background, I've also built an sIII.

I'll post some particulars about the Deluxe build when I can post some pictures. For now, here's a clip. It's a little muddier than what I'm hearing real-time. I still haven't mastered recording. But take my word for it -- this amp is the bees' knees. My tele sounds like a, well, tele. :D

Tele>Deluxe>SM57>E-mu0404>Audigy 2 ZS>Reaper

Guitar's plugged into #1 Normal channel (#2 is lower gain -- there are also two inputs for the 'Bright' channel).

Tone is on 7, volume was either on 4 or 12 for the normal channel and always on 2 on the bright channel.

I also varied the volume on my guitar and the tone pot was rolled down about 1/3 of the way.

I'm a happy boy!

P.S. I've only been playing nine months, so apologies for the playing.

Hi everyone.

I just completed my third amp build, my first two being a Gilmore Jr. 1/2-watt (http://www.guytronix.com/) and a Trinity 18-watt sIII (Build thread is here if you're interested - http://tinyurl.com/342cnf).

The cabinet was built by Stephen and I can't say enough about his customer service -- it's one of the reasons I went back a second time. He hand-delivered the amp kit in a snowstorm!

It took me about 10 hours total.

The sounds are all tweed -- from spanky cleans to full-on raunch (see clip above).

The power tubes are JJ 6V6, the pre-amp tubes are a JJ ECC 83 S and an Electro-Harmonix 12AY7 while the rectifier is a Sovtek 5Y3GT.

I might try to get my hands on a NOS rectifier for a little more of that sag when the amp gets pushed hard.

Here are some photos:

A marriage made in heaven (I love this photo - recessed lighting, no flash and a tripod):
