That's all I wanted to say actually. I'm excited and new to the forum, even though I've known about Trinity for a while.
Looking forward to contributing to the chatter and once I know more what I'm doing hopefully whatever mistakes I'll make I'll be able to help others either avoid them or correct them. (wow that's a terrible sentence ;))

I'm Patrick, by the way, and I live in Northern Ontario.
Be chatting with you soon.

probably the same thing I am doing with my two 15's.... one's for home, one's for gigging/the band rehersal room!

AJC

PS you should suggest to all potential customers to buy one as a spare, save them the trouble to order another later on :)

Actually my reasons are a little more sinister, I want to build them and sell one of them to pay for both. Although, two Deluxes would make a heck of a cool Twin.

Well, I doubt you willhave trouble selling the 2nd one. WHen I finished mine, I brought it to the local music store and immediately was asked by 4 or 5 guys if they could buy it :)

I ended up making one last weekend for the music store manager.

Just recieved my kits. I'm overjoyed. I must say the booklet and information are just top notch. I wasn't expecting so thourough an explanation of components and circuitry, EQ etc.... I can't build today (too many things to do) so I'm waiting anxiously until tomorrow. Thanks again guys. This is going to sound corny but this really is a dream come true.

Not sure where to wire the heater wires from the indicator lamp. Seeing as it's not mentioned I suppose it's not important. I can't make heads or tails of it from the layout or the schematic. Help would be appreciated. I'm starting the soldering tomorrow. Cutting wires tonight.
Thanks in advance.

Solder the two heater wire to the two lugs of the pilot lith and go across the chassis to the first 6V6 heater and go from there. For the two pre-amp tubes, run the twisted wires far away from the eyelet board. I think the layout is pretty clear there.

Fantastic. Thanks.

Got a lot done. Didn't connect the heater wiring at the lamp. The heater wiring is connected at the tubes though. Soldered the circuit board, input jacks and circuit board to the preamp tubes. May do more tonight. This is exciting.

Well, you can add me up as a successful builder! First time power up and it sounds great. I have an "acoustic" gig on Tuesday and we'll take it out for a real test run. Any suggestions as far as safety for hauling the amp around. (I havn't build a head yet) Maybe I can make something quick.
What a great product. Thank you.

Still have to build the other Deluxe. I'm going to try it with metal film resistors throughout. Just to satisfy my curiosity.

Congratulations. nice to have a second one and use the first as practice!

What do you want to satisfy - the tonal differences or noise? For sure the metals will be quieter.

Suggestion for transporting a tubed amp: Dont let it slide around in the back of your trunk! Otherwise, they are really pretty durable.

It's very nice to have two amps. The first one to get it right the second to make it right and also be nice and neat. Something beautiful to look at.
