After reading this post, and thinking I'd like to go this route in changing the values of the 2 caps to reduce bass response and also that I'm in need of ordering tweed material from Mojotone, and noticing they also carry the needed components....other then them being more money, are there any advantages or disadvantages in going with Vitamin T oil filled Caps ??

also how much Tweed material will I need to cover the cabinet??

Thank you all...Ernie

Oil filled might be a bit smoother sounding . 1 yd should do.

We ship the stock circuit 5E3 design. The options are there and others as mentioned in the Tone Tweaking section of the manual.

Is the manual posted on the site?

Comes with the kit.

I can only assume he did this after you recieved your kit.

Still it's one thing to read about a mod and it's another to have somebody try it and recommend it. Thanks for that.

Hi, I'm wanting to order a couple of extra caps to try out these mods but, at least at Mojo, I cannot get the same spec. The .22 or .047uf works, but only if its 600V rather than the 400V of the original .1uf caps. Keep looking?
thanks

Nope, you're OK with that.

Seems odd that such a big difference in voltage wouldn't have an effect, but I'm good with it!
thanks!

As long as you don't go under a certain voltage your fine. Something to note though are bigger voltages usually mean bigger size. Maybe get the dimentions before you buy.
